Hey girls this is going to be the second interview of this Blogger Interview Series that I had started last month. I have decided to publish one interview every month so it will be easily conducted and at the end of year will have 12 beauty bloggers with AdorableShe. This time we have Richa from coralswithblues.com. Let’s give her a warm welcome!
Hey Richa! You are a medical writer – my readers would love to know about you & your blog. Please introduce yourself. Also, let us know how long have you been blogging for?
I have a Masters in Biomedical Sciences which basically dealt with a lot of Microbiology, Genetics & a lot of other courses related to the Pharma Industry. I currently work full-time as a medical writer & Blog during weekends & whenever I get free time. I started blogging around 1 and a half-year back.
What inspired you to start a blog? Is blogging the only thing you are doing right now? And, how you got to know about AdorableShe? 🙂
The Makeup bug caught me in Milwaukee, the place where I completed my Masters. I was very new to the Makeup world & was testing a lot of products back then. For some reason, I could not find a lot of information on Makeup for Indian Skintones & Skintypes so occasionally I would purchase a lot of Makeup which was not meant for me 🙁 This kinda led me to understand what works & what doesn’t…After a lot of trial & testing for 2-3 years, I decided to document my knowledge & Corals With Blues was born. I came across AdorableShe through one of the Blogs & was instantly hooked onto the content! 🙂
In the beginning did you were sad when you didn’t have that much subscribers and like?
Uhhmm…Not in the beginning because I came with no clue to the blogging world but yeah It does hits you at times. I guess that happens every now and then but I constantly remind myself I blog because I love to! 🙂
What camera do you use to click pics, and for your Makeup pics do you click them by your own or someone else click them for you?
I Use a Cannon 600d. It’s a Great Camera for Beauty Blogging because it has all the features you need in addition to the Vari Angle LCD. For my Outfit posts, I try to get hold of someone. And for rest of the pictures I myself take them using the LCD.
Does a beauty blogger needs to be always dressed up when she goes out, what do you think?
I don’t think that’s necessary at all. I am always of the opinion that you should dress up for yourself & no one else. 🙂
What is your biggest blogging achievement?
This one is a toughie but I guess nothing makes me more happy when my readers email me, comment on the blogs or message me on facebook to let me know how much they love my writing style & how my posts make them smile or something in particular made them laugh. Everytime this happens, I feel like I have achieved the world! 🙂
What is the biggest challenge you face while blogging? Are you the only person behind coralswithblues.com?
Yes, I am the only Author & Editor of Corals With Blues. I think the biggest challenge is trying to be on top of everything. Along with a Full time Job & a few other projects in hand, It’s hard to be on top of everything so yea, that has been my biggest challenge so far!
Can we know something about you which you have never shared with your readers? 🙂 Also, share your love for kittens. 😉
I don’t know if I have ever mentioned this but I cry every time I see the Movie Up! I get so emotional every time when the couple breaks their savings box to fix something in the house & especially the scene when the old man tries to save his mailbox… That is just super adorable!
About kittens….I find them so very cute!! I was so close to adopting a cat but that just didn’t happen for some reason but I am looking forward to adopting a kitten in a year or two…& when that happens you will definitely see him/her debuting on Corals With Blues 😉
Whose style inspires you the most? Can we know the names of your favourite blogs?
I love Karen of Makeupandbeautyblog.com! I think she is immensely talented, funny & has a great writing style! I also love Wendy’s Lookbook, Styledrive & Indianvanitycase.
Let’s wrap it up with your valuable advice for those who are reading this Interview?
When it comes to Blogging… I’d say follow your voice! There is nothing as the ‘normal way’
Thanks for reading it. Share it. Comment or just give a read. I’ll come up with more interviews in this very blogger interview series.
