Lakme 9 to 5 Eyeshadow Quartet Dessert Rose Review and Swatches

Hey Girls

I am doing lot of shopping these day, recently I bought Lakme 9 to 5 Eyeshadow Quartet in shade Dessert Rose and have used it couple of times. These come in three variants, I picked up Dessert Rose but now I regret it as other variants were much better. This happens to me a lot, I regret a lot after shopping 😀 but this time after using this product I really regret not having the other shades. Any-ways let’s start with a review.

My Experience with Lakme 9 to 5 Eyeshadow Quartet In shade Dessert Rose:

The packaging of the eyeshadow is really sturdy and travel friendly. You can see the eyeshadows through the transparent cap.  Dessert Rose consist of four shades. These are golden yellow, peachy pink, copper brown, deep red.

I love the pigmentation of copper brown and deep red shade but golden yellow and peachy pink does not show up on lids at all, they don’t even work as a good highlighter shade. The eyeshadows does not stay on lids for a longer time as well, on my lids they stayed just for about 4 to 5 hours after that they start creasing. You can definitely use a good eyeshadow primer to increase the staying time of these eye shadows.

Yeah there is a little bit of fall out as well, but these eyeshades doesn’t cause fall out like crazy. One main problem with this quad is that all the shades in it are shimmery and there is no matt shade so you have to be all glittery which I don’t like, I like to blend my shimmery shades with a matt shade to make it look Smokey.

Overall, this one is ok product for me, nothing special about it. I loved the copper brown and deep red shade but golden yellow and peachy pink were the real disappointment.

Good about Lakme Dessert Rose Eyeshadow Quartet:

  1. Sturdy travel friendly packaging.
  2. Copper brown and deep red shade are highly pigmented.
  3. Can be used to create daily wear day look.

Bad About Lakme Dessert Rose Eyeshadow Quartet:

  1. Shade golden yellow and peachy pink are not at all pigmented and does not show up on lids easily.
  2. Staying power of the shades is not good.
  3. Causes little bit fall out.
  4. All the shades are shimmery.
  5. Expensive for a quad.

My Rating:
